Those dudes are funny. And the sky IS SCREWED UP! was that intentional? To
tell
you the truth, with a really good sky, this scene would have been 10 times
better.

the sky coloring clashes with the rest of the image
the sky and ground texturing needs more work
but the trees are beeeaaautiful

Nice idea. The sky, tho...a "real" sky would have been nice, I think.

I like your trees, too.

Sonya's wins :).

I like the idea!!! Very interesting. A few comments:

* The people came out quite good, I think -- their poses are
fairly realistic. Yet the minimal detail and insect-like appearance
give them all the respect they deserve :).

* the sky is a bit much -- I think it detracts from the scene.

* the globes are quite well done.

Unfortunately, the tech score on this scene suffers somewhat
due to the shortage of original material -- it's mostly
in the composition.

P.S. Why didn't Sonya enter this round?

Neat, but the sky isn't right - to simple

From fisher2@pobox.upenn.edu:
The sky is distracting from the rest of the scene. Also I would have done
a more complex texture for the ground to make it look more like a sidewalk
or something. Also I think it would have helped to make the glass domes
clear rather than yellow and turned off the refrection. All these
suggestions are to make the trees stand out more. I really liked the idea
behind this scene!

I love the way the "bungling scientists" are running all over the scene!
Bizarre sky REALLY detracts from this otherwise fine image.
The glass seems to be solid, rather than hollow shells -- see wpremind.jpg in
this competition for a better approach.

Wow, another funny idea for this more -mh- calm(?) topic! We all seem to like
the "tree-in-a-glass" thingy. The texture of the glasses is nice
"powerfieldish". And the people do right to panic and run around as one of the
trees tries to get out of its containment.
