This is the source for the Linux Deathmatch game server.

Linux Deathmatch is a game in which four or more players (or teams of
players), each equipped with identical hardware and a base system
installation, have to set up an Internet machine and keep it running.
Points are granted for having a service available, the availability of
the services is checked by the game server. Players may hack the
machines of other game participants to stop them from gaining any
further points or, optionally, capturing their points.

The first Linux Deathmatch tournament took place on October 8., 1998,
in the C-Base, Berlin. Linux Deathmatch was invented by the CCC,
inspired by a similar game which has been played at DevCon in 1997.
